Call for Tutorials

Tutorials for DYSPAN seek to engage researchers and practitioners to generate knowledge exchange and dialog in current and emerging topics. Tutorial proposals are sought in all topics that may further these goals. The proposals will serve to provide actionable knowledge to deepen the current work of DYSPAN attendees or to broaden their expertise in new areas..

Topics of interest for tutorials include but are not limited to:

  • Testbeds and methods for bringing research projects into testbeds
  • New technologies in medium access
  • New technologies in dense spectrum management
  • Efficient use of bandwidth through physical layer advancements such a modulation and coding/decoding
  • Integrated sensing and communications
  • Introduction to spectrum policy and regulation for engineers
  • Overview of standardization activities relevant to DYSPAN
  • Case studies in technology transfer in technologies relevant to DYSPAN
  • Security considerations and state of the art
  • Passive users and experiences

IMPORTANT DATES

Tutorial submission deadline:  November 21, 2023
Notification of acceptance:  January 5, 2024
Conference dates: May 13-16, 2024

Tutorial proposal SUBMISSIONS

IEEE DySPAN tutorial proposal of up to 5 pages are invited to be submitted through EDAS. The proposal should provide the educational objectives of the tutorial, the target audience, the outline of the tutorial material, information on the instructors and their relevant experience, and concise desired outcomes in the context of DYSPAN. Tutorials will be delivered in person and will be of a duration of 2.5 hours, plus a half hour for break and discussion. Attendees will be able to access materials in pdf format.
